Winter lens anti-fog is necessary

As a veteran glasses man, I have to complain about the weather in my motherland. I have experienced spring, summer and autumn in a week, but I am not ready to go into winter like a roller coaster, but my glasses are not ready yet!

You may have questions, what do you need to prepare for glasses?

That is anti-fog. The biggest phenomenon in winter is the huge temperature difference between indoor and outdoor. In the first morning after cooling down, I found a thin layer of fog on the glass, so the glasses lenses cannot escape fogging in winter. nightmare.

Why do lenses fog up?

In cooler environments, the air is noticeably drier. When the lens is exposed to hot air, there is more moisture in the hot air. When you touch a cold lens, condensation occurs, forming tiny crystals on the surface of the lens, which cause the lens to fog up.

This phenomenon is generally not dangerous, but you have to be careful when opening the door. Because there are air conditioners in the car in general in summer, fogging is easy to occur. In winter, with the windows closed, there is also a difference with the outdoor temperature. Be careful when opening the door.

What should I do if the lens fogs up?

Anti-fog the first time the lens fogs up, and teach you a few good ways to anti-fog the lens.

Lens anti-fogging agent: the lens cleaning feeling, after wiping, spray the special anti-fogging agent on the lens surface evenly, generally it can last for 1-2 days

Anti-fog lens cloth: It is a specially treated lens cloth. Use the anti-fog lens cloth to wipe the surface of the lens repeatedly. After use, the lens cloth needs to be sealed and stored to prevent the anti-fog function from evaporating.

Soap or detergent: Dip a little soap or detergent on the lens cloth, and then wipe the lens surface with the lens cloth, which can also prevent fog

Anti-fog lenses: Spectacle lenses also have special anti-fog lenses. When wearing glasses, you can directly choose the special anti-fog lenses, which is convenient and permanent.

Anti-fog lens recommendation:

There are two types of anti-fog lenses. The first type requires anti-fog cloth to activate the anti-fog factor on the lens. When the anti-fog function on the lens declines, it needs to continue to be activated with anti-fog cloth; the second type of lens is coated with anti-fog. There is a hydrophilic anti-fog film, which forms a layer of high-adsorption, high-density, and high-hydrophilic anti-fog film on the surface of the lens, so that the lens can eliminate the trouble of fog.
